Why we make these
Physical Phones started with a simple question: what if picking up the phone felt good again?
We take the landlines everyone remembers, fit them with Bluetooth so they pair with the phone already in your pocket, and build them to live out in the open on a counter, a nightstand, or a kitchen wall. The first one was a rewired thrift-store phone that made every call feel like an event. People kept asking where to get one, so we started making them properly.
That is still the whole idea. No apps, no feeds. Just a receiver, a cord to twirl, and someone on the other end.
Built on the Internet
Physical Phones didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with one rewired landline, a few videos, and a lot of people saying they wanted less screen time and more joy. Everything we make still comes out of that conversation.

We build this company in the open. New colors, packaging, and the occasional mistake all get shared as they happen, and the best ideas for what we make next usually come from the people already using one.
Mission driven from the start
We believe healthier tech habits shouldn’t require extremes. You shouldn’t have to choose between tossing your phone in the ocean and spending eight hours a day scrolling. We’re building a middle path: playful, human-centered objects that bring a little balance back to everyday life.
